Department of Commerce established in the year June 1971. The Department has received permanent affiliation to Shivaji University Kolhapur for B.Com. Right from the beginning senior and reputed teachers are associated with the Department. Along with regular teaching department organise different activities such as seminars, group discussions, debates, various competitions, industrial visits and guest lectures, etc. These activities fulfil needs of the students in respect of development of soft skill, management skills and entrepreneurship. The department develops interpersonal skills and take effort to enable students to face challenges in global scenario.

The Department also take initiative in spreading awareness about the recent developments in trade and commerce. Training for Professional Courses like Foundation Course in CA/CS provided to the students. The department always have priority to prepare students self-employment and enhance the entrepreneurial abilities.

The faculty members of the department always engage in various research activities relating to commerce and management. The pride alumni of the department contribute in development of the department and students. They acquaint with the department about changing market requirements. The department tries its level best and also communicate to the University for Further Implementation.
